Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for the opportunity to attend the “Coffee with the Principal” meetings prior to Fall Break to share updated information on the Avenues for Success program (previously known as College Avenue Compact).
Avenues for Success is college and career access program that works with first-generation, low-income students from Monroe Clark Middle, Wilson Middle and Hoover High School. College and career advising is provided to help students acquire the knowledge and skills needed to successfully transition from from school to work. We will also be providing support to recent high school graduates.
College Avenue Compact is the name of San Diego State University's Guaranteed Admission. ALL Hoover high school students who meet the SDSU guarantee eligibility requirements are promised admission to SDSU. The guarantee requirements are updated yearly by SDSU. The guarantee requirements for the class of 2022 are located here. If you or your student have any questions about the guarantee, please reach out to our team.
The Avenues for Success team is located in the library in Offices E-I. Click here for Avenues for Success website.
A copy of the presentation shared at the Coffee with the Principal presentation can be found here.
