Welcome to the Hoover Health Office. We want all of our Hoover students and families to know that we are here to serve them. The distance learning environment prompted the health office staff to develop this online resource. We hope it will continue to be of use to our community. This website serves to assist students, families and staff to connect with health office staff and resources. Mental Health Resources

Hoover High School Resources: Rady Children's Outpatient and Mending Matters provide mental health services to Hoover students. Unfortunately, on site therapy sessions are not available during distance learning due to the COVID-19 public health crisis. However, providers with both Rady's and Mending Matters continue to provide services in other ways. Services are accessed through referrals made by our school counselors. Students and parents can contact their school counselor for more information and referrals. Please visit the Hoover Counseling Department's website at https://hoover.sandiegounified.org/counseling/counseling_department_academic_supports

COVID-19 & Mental Health: According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC): Public health actions, such as social distancing, can make people feel isolated and lonely and can increase stress and anxiety. However, these actions are necessary to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Coping with stress in a healthy way will make you, the people you care about, and your community stronger.
