The position will remain posted until a group of well-qualified candidates can be brought in front of a Hoover High School Community Panel;

Dear Parent/Guardian of Hoover Senior: As a parent/guardian of a prospective graduate of the Class of 2023, we are all looking forward to your student participating in senior activities, culminating with Commencement June 14, 2023. To ensure that your student is eligible to participate in all end-of-year senior activities, including Commencement, we want you to be clear about eligibility requirements so you can ensure your student meets them.

Hoover Tutoring Schedule

The center runs Monday through Friday from 3:45-4:45. We primarily offer tutoring in English, Math, Science, and History, but Ms. Avelar, who is an Education Specialist, is also available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to assist students who need special education services.

Hoover Community Schools, in partnership with Avenues for Success, will continue the food market with community distribution during the summer. Please bring your own bag if possible. Students may access the pantry after school. See flyer for dates and details.

The Class of 2023 Senior Scholarship Night was a huge success! Hoover Class of 2023 Awards Night was June 1st 5:30-7:30pm in the Performing Arts Theatre. Seniors will be awarded one or more of the following: Scholarship or scholarships, AP Medal, Gold Cord for academic distinction.

Class of 2023 Annual Senior Walk took place last Friday. This is an awesome opportunity for graduating Hoover Senior’s to take a walk down memory lane at our feeder elementary and middle schools. (Franklin, Joyner, Cherokee Point, Adams, Normal Heights, Central, Rosa Parks, Hamilton, Edison, Clark, & Wilson.) Seniors walk the halls, visit classrooms, and participate in mini classroom visits and our elementary students begin to visualize themselves as future Cardinals and Hoover High school graduates.

The Hoover Foundation is auctioning off four Press Box Suites for the 2023 Graduation! The Cardinal Suite can hold up to 15 guests, while the Home Suite, Visitor Suite, and Media Suite can hold up to 10 guests. All Press Box Suites are private, shaded, and will be decorated for the event. The auction ends on 6/7/23 at 11:59pm.
