Dear Cardinal Students, Families, and Supporters of Incoming 9th Graders!
We are excited to begin a new school year and welcome back all of our Cardinals. During a tumultuous time over the past several months for our community, I continue to share my care, love, and support to each of our Cardinal families. Our Cardinal staff and faculty are ready to honor, celebrate, guide, and educate all of our students in-person once again. It is important to note that as of today SDUSD is returning to full school day, in person learning beginning the first day of school on August 30. I want to share pertinent information with you now as the school year begins soon.
Bell Schedule - Healthy Start Time
SDUSD has moved to a “Healthy Start Time” at the high school level across the district for the 21/22 school year. This District adjustment has shifted our Hoover start time to 8:35 AM and end time to 3:40 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Each Wednesday, school begins at 10 AM and ends at 3:40 PM (District initiated “late start” instead of “early release” like previous years on short Wednesdays).
