Dear Hoover Students and their Fans,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! Whether you are a returning Cardinal or joining the Hoover Nest for the first time, I am excited to have you here.
This year, our theme is Teamwork: Bringing Our A-Game.
Think about any great team. No one player wins the game alone. Every person has a role, every effort matters, and the team is strongest when everyone works together. Hoover is no different.
This year, I challenge each of you to bring your A-Game.
Your A-Game does not mean being perfect. It means showing up, putting in effort, taking responsibility for your choices, supporting others, and believing that you are capable of more. Sometimes your A-Game will mean earning a great grade. Other times, it may mean asking for help, trying again after a setback, encouraging a teammate or classmate, or simply choosing to keep going.
Every player matters. Every role matters. Every day matters.
One of the most important ways you can bring your A-Game is by being at school and in class every day, on time and ready to learn. Your attendance matters because you cannot take advantage of opportunities you are not here to experience.
At Hoover, we are continuing to build a school where students feel safe, connected, supported, and challenged to reach their potential. Creating that kind of school is a team effort. Your voice, your choices, and your energy help shape our campus every day.
Being your principal is an honor that I do not take lightly. I want you to know that I will continue to bring my A-Game every day to support you, encourage you, and help you reach your goals. I will be in your corner, cheering you on, challenging you when you need it, and celebrating your successes along the way.
We will have wins and we will have challenges, but we will face them together. When we bring our A-Game, support one another, and work as a team, we are unstoppable!
So let's show up. Let's work hard. Let's lift each other up. Let's celebrate the wins. And when we face a loss, let's learn from it, get back in the game, and keep moving forward. We will collect the W's together!
