MISSION

HOOVER COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS (HCC) IS A COLLABORATION OF OVER 20 PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS WORKING TOGETHER TO ENSURE ALL HOOVER STUDENTS HAVE THE CONNECTIONS, RESOURCES, AND OPPORTUNITIES TO DEFINE AND ACHIEVE THEIR OWN SUCCESS.

ABOUT HOOVER COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

HOOVER COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS (HCC) was established in 2016-2017. It has evolved into a collaboration between San Diego Unified School District and community organizations. Today, our story continues as we strive to accelerate achievement for the students at Hoover High School. HCC works with community organizations and partners to provide additional supports for Hoover students. We invite partners to join us in support of a shared vision for student success.

The HCC Collaborative typically meets on the first Tuesday of every even-numbered months, however, due to COVID-19, meetings are held on the first Tuesday every month.

The goal of HCC meetings is to provide all Hoover students with quality holistic support. This is achieved by:

  • Supporting Hoover's vision, goals, and initiatives
  • Sharing of programs, best practices, and data
  •  Providing inter-agency referrals
