Greetings Mission Bay High School Summer School Families!
Mission Bay High School is excited to host your student for summer school. Summer school begins on June 12th and ends on July 12th. There is no school on June 19th, July 4th, and July 5th. Classes during the school day run from 9:30-1:25 Monday-Friday.
On the first day of summer school, June 12th, students should plan to arrive from 9:00-9:15 so they can get their class schedules. Students are allowed to leave campus before the end of the school day once they are finished with their final class of the day. Once students leave campus, they may return to campus that day. Please reach out to school administration with any questions.

Shuttle buses from both Hoover and Pt. Loma will be available from students’ home campus to Mission Bay. Students can get transportation back to their home school site at the end of the day. The summer bus service is on a first come first serve basis. If this is your student’s only mode of transportation to summer school, be sure they are at their school bus loading zone early.
Driving:
Students that are driving to campus may enter campus on Lee St. and park in the lot towards the back of the school near the stadium.
Drop Off:
Students can be dropped off along Grand Avenue at the front of the school and enter through the main gates.
Breakfast & Lunch Service
Breakfast will be provided from 9:00am - 9:30am. Lunch will be provided at the end of the day at 1:30. Students may stay and eat lunch on campus, or take their lunch to go. Students may want to bring a snack to eat during the passing periods since lunch will not be served until 1:25 pm, after all of the daily classes are finished.
ATTENDANCE: Attendance is very important during summer school. Remember this is the opportunity for students to earn credit for an entire semester in a matter of weeks. Every day of class counts! If a student misses more than 2 days of class for any subject in which they are enrolled, they are dropped from that class and no longer have a chance to earn credit.
What to Bring: Students should come prepared to do work with their fully charged laptop, as well as a notebook/binder and pens/pencils. Writing supplies will also be available at school if needed.
